“Dante in the world”, the hugs of the great poet

Denied, expected, realized or never completed: every embrace, or lack thereof, has a precise meaning in the Divine Comedy. The president of the Asociación Complutense de Dantologia of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Juan Varela-Portas Orduña, offers a reflection on the theme based on the reading of four significant passages taken from the Canti VIII of Hell, II and XXI of Purgatory and XXIV of Paradise . Between corporeal and spiritual dimension, an excursus alternated by reading interpreted by the actress Elvira Mínguez and with the accompaniment of original music for guitar composed and performed by Jacopo Mezzanotti.
