This reception and accommodation structure, which was built in July 2008, as part of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), for a total cost of 4 million dirhams (MDH), has played a leading role in welcoming, accommodating, catering and providing social and psychological support to young girls eager to learn, while ensuring that difficulties are overcome so that they can continue their studies and build a profitable future for themselves and their family and social circle. Welcoming 76 young girls, this space, managed by the Charitable Association, brings together all the conditions of comfort and offers residents the opportunity to develop their personality and achieve excellence in their academic career. What is more, the establishment also offers parallel activities in the fields of sport, culture and entertainment.

The structure, with a capacity of 90 beds, has many outbuildings, including a computer room, a library, a kitchen and two refectories. The home also has a collective reading room equipped with computer equipment, where the girls meet during off-peak hours to revise and do their homework.

In a statement to MAP, the president of the association, Amna Lamrani, indicated that Dar Taliba de Zaio contributes to reducing the phenomenon of girls dropping out of school due to the dispersion of the population and the distance from schools, emphasizing the considerable contribution of the INDH in this regard, by allowing many girls to continue and complete their school career. And adding that this establishment has worked to develop its services and activities for the benefit of beneficiary girls, particularly in the social, cultural, artistic, educational and sports fields, capable of encouraging these girls to obtain convincing results and achieve academic excellence.

For his part, the head of the Social Action Division in the province of Nador (DAS), Mohamed Ouariachi, said that this project is the result of a partnership between the INDH and the sectors of National Education and National Mutual Aid, and stands as an exemplary model in terms of promoting schooling and the fight against school dropout.

In addition, he highlighted the remarkable contribution of this home, which offers various services and activities for the benefit of its residents, particularly from rural areas and disadvantaged backgrounds. This, he continued, is reflected in particular in the indicators and positive results obtained, concerning academic excellence and the success rate in certification levels. The same was true of the beneficiary girls who welcomed the good reception and accommodation conditions, expressing their gratitude for the services provided in this structure, which have made it possible to obtain very encouraging results.
