Darbhanga: The date of Lok Sabha elections 2024 was also decided and the model code of conduct also came into force in the district. Voting is to be held in Darbhanga on May 13, but no party has yet announced the name of its candidate from here. In this Lok Sabha elections, AIMIM announced to contest on 11 seats in Bihar, which also includes Darbhanga Lok Sabha seat. It is believed that due to this the parties are facing some difficulty in selecting the candidates. The situation has become such that even the current BJP MPs are not able to say who will contest from Darbhanga in the elections. On the other hand, INDIA alliance has also not been able to decide which party will hold this seat. Let us tell you that Congress has captured this seat five times, Janata Dal and RJD have captured it four-five times, while BJP MPs have won elections from here five times. The people of Darbhanga are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the names of the candidates.

A total of 29 lakh 19 thousand 406 voters will cast their votes for Darbhanga Lok Sabha seat. Among these, the number of male voters is 15 lakh 35 thousand 515, while the number of female voters is 13 lakh 83 thousand 837. At the same time, 54 voters of third gender will cast their votes.

Joint Secretary of AIMIM, Bihar, Mohd. Kalam has claimed that if BJP has to be defeated in Bihar then INDIA alliance will have to give importance to AIMIM. Not only this, the party says that if INDIA alliance does not field its candidate from the seat where AIMIM will contest, the election results of Bihar can be changed.

He said that RJD alliance has not been able to defeat BJP in Bihar for 15 years, due to which RJD did not get even a single Lok Sabha seat in Bihar in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Also other alliances also did not benefit. Whereas MIM had spoiled the equation of candidates standing in Seemanchal. In such a situation, if BJP has to be kept away from power, then everyone will have to fight this election together. We have just announced to contest elections on 11 seats, but our aim is to contest elections on 20 seats in Bihar.
