Signed by the president of the CNDP, Omar Seghrouchni and the general director of CFCA, Saïd Ibrahimi, this agreement formalizes CFCA’s membership in the “Data-TIKA” program, set up by the CNDP in July 2020, with the aim of support and streamline the compliance of CFC member companies in terms of personal data protection.
Aware that data protection constitutes an issue for attracting investments, CFCA and the CNDP have joined forces with the aim of facilitating the compliance of member companies of the Casablanca Finance City (CFC) community with law no. 09-08, by registering as part of the “Data-TIKA” program.
This partnership between the two institutions will result in particular in the organization of training sessions on the protection of personal data, and in the organization of prospective reflection workshops.
In order to streamline monitoring between CFC member companies and the CNDP, dedicated CNDP contacts will travel regularly to CFCA, promoting a close relationship as part of the compliance process.
In addition, the signing of the “Data-Tika” agreement with the CNDP will allow CFCA to strengthen its role as a facilitator of “Doing Business” for the benefit of CFC member companies as well as the dissemination of good practices within the community, promoting the confidence of investors and national and international companies operating in Morocco from CFC.
The signing of this agreement was organized on the sidelines of a conference on the theme “Data protection: an issue for attracting investments and Doing Business”, which brought together several members of the CFC ecosystem.
As a reminder, the CNDP was created by Dahir No. 1-09-15 of 22 Safar 1430 (February 18, 2009) promulgating Law No. 09-08 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing personal data.
