/ The Qatari national team booked the second ticket to the Asian Football Cup final, after defeating Iran in the semi-finals with a score of 3-2 at Al Thumama Stadium.
The Jordanian national team had booked the first ticket, after crossing South Korea, yesterday, Tuesday.
The Qatari team, which won the title of the last edition in 2019 in the Emirates, owes a great deal of its victory to its striker Akram Afif, who scored a goal and made another, as well as Almoez Ali, who scored the winning goal near the end.
The Qatar-Jordan final will be the first Arab final since 2007 when Iraq beat Saudi Arabia 1-0, and the third Arab final in the history of the tournament.
The Qatari team will meet its Jordanian counterpart in the final scheduled for Lusail Stadium next Saturday, which qualified for the Asian final for the first time in its history, after its 2-0 victory over South Korea.
The Jordan vs Qatar match in the Asian Cup final will be next Saturday, February 10, 2024.
The starting whistle will blow at exactly 6:00 Baghdad time.
