Protests against the hijab are ongoing in Iran. The government is taking various measures to suppress the protest. Celebrities supporting the Hijab movement are being arrested. And some people involved in the protest have also been sentenced to death.

In this situation, the daughter of the former President of Iran, Akbar Hashemi, Bayse Hashemi has been sentenced to 5 years in prison. This was confirmed by his lawyer.

In September last year, he was arrested for inciting riots in Tehran. He was accused of spreading anti-government propaganda. Mayse Hashemi was already sentenced to prison for spreading false information against the government during the 2009 presidential election. He was also banned from engaging in political activities.
