Carlos Nassar declared in his category for Bahrain, Bozhidar Andreev – in top
The Austrian with a Bulgarian passport, David Fischerov, has apparently cleared his problem with the positive doping test, because he has been declared for the world championship in Bahrain in the category up to 102 kilograms.
In the Bulgarian anti-doping center, he still appears with temporarily suspended rights since March 31 last year, after he tested positive for trenbolone, known as horse doping, on March 10. His name is missing from the International Weightlifting Federation’s list of suspended athletes.
Carlos Nassar is entered in his current category up to 89 kilograms. The bronze medalist from the Olympics in Paris, Bozhidar Andreev, goes to the 81-kilogram category.
Our third participant in France – Ivan Dimov, is entered in the category up to 61 kilograms together with Gabriel Marinov.
In the lightest (up to 55 kg) there are as many as three on the list – the 4-time European champion Angel Rusev, Dzhan Zarkov, our only participant in the world youth championship, and Todor Todorov.
Valentin Genchev and Deyan Pamporjiev are in the category up to 67 kilograms.
Todor Yordanov is back after a 4-year doping ban and is in the 73-kilogram category. He was caught with testosterone during a Bundesliga match and his ban ended on 22 September.
Vasil Marinov and Hristo Hristov are registered in the category up to 109 kilograms at the world championship, which is from December 6 to 15 in Manama.
We also have three women’s representatives in the pre-order. These are Ivana Petrova (45), Galya Shatova (64) and Jessica Ivanova (+87).
The maximum number of participants per country per world championship is 10, with a maximum of two per country per category.
Our participation in the World Cup is still unclear due to the financial problems of the federation.
