The Davis Cup between the countries is being played in Malaga, Spain. In this case, Croatia-Spain teams clashed in the quarter-finals held on Thursday.
In the first singles match, Croatian player Borna Coric defeated young Spanish player Battista Agut in no sets 6-4, 7-6 and took the lead.
In the second singles match, Croatian veteran Marin Cilic will face Spain’s Pablo Busta. Although Cilic lost the first set 5-7, he dominated the second set to win 6-3.
Cilic trailed 4-1 in the third set tie breaker, but Sutharitu won the set 7-6.
