Frankfurt/Main.

The Dax limited its losses on Thursday afternoon. After a cautious start, the leading German index briefly fell below 15,000 points despite significant price gains from SAP, Merck KGaA and Sartorius. Most recently it stood at 15,076.96 points with a discount of 0.12 percent.

US economic data in the afternoon did not have a major impact on price developments. The war in the Middle East continues to weigh on the mood. Rising capital market interest rates also put pressure on the stock market.

On the German bond market, the current yield rose from 2.91 percent the day before to 2.94 percent. The Rex bond index fell by 0.19 percent to 122.54 points. The Bund future fell by 0.05 percent to 127.72 points.

The euro gained. The common currency most recently cost 1.0570 US dollars. The European Central Bank (ECB) set the reference rate at $1.0565 on Wednesday afternoon. (dpa)
