Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the price losses of August are spreading. The Dax was quoted at 15,764 points on Tuesday afternoon, a drop of 0.9 percent or around 140 points lower than the previous day’s close. The daily low is 15,703 points – it is a new low in the current stock market month.
From August 3rd until today, Tuesday, the Frankfurt benchmark moved in a range of only around 350 points. It ended at 16,060 points on the top and 15,706 points on the bottom. This range has now been undercut by three points.
But the new monthly low was apparently an opportunity for bargain hunters. With a significant increase in trading volume, the Dax quickly climbed up again by 50 points within a few minutes. It will be interesting to see whether these bargain hunters will not quickly sell their shares again if the leading index slips below the 15,700 point mark.
