Day of the Prophet; A holiday has been declared in Kuwait

Kuwait City: On the occasion of Prophet’s Day, Kuwait announced a holiday on October 9. The Kuwait Civil Service Commission issued a notification about the holiday the other day. According to the notification, all government offices and institutions in the country will be a holiday on October 9. Institutions of a special occupational nature may, in the public interest, decide on their leave. The official news agency also informed that the government institutions will resume their work on October 10 after the holiday.

Day of the Prophet; UAE announces paid holiday for private sector
Abu Dhabi: A holiday with pay for the private sector in the UAE on 8th October to mark the Prophet’s Day. The holiday was announced by the country’s Ministry of Human Resource Development and Indigenization. Only private sector workers who currently work on Sundays will benefit from the 8th October holiday as many government sector and private sector organizations in the UAE have shifted their weekend holidays to Saturday and Sunday.

Official holiday declared on October 9 in Oman; Applies to private sector as well
Muscat: Sunday, September 9, has been declared an official holiday in Oman to mark Prophet’s Day. According to a notification issued by Oman’s Ministry of Labor, employees of the country’s government institutions and legal departments, as well as the private sector, will have a holiday on that day. At the same time, considering the nature of the work in the private sector, the employers who are unable to give leave to the employees on that day are also requested to compensate the loss of leave of the employees in the notification issued by the Ministry of Labour.
