THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: From now on, unreserved passengers will not be able to board sleeper coaches in trains during daytime hours. In Thiruvananthapuram Division, daytime sleeper tickets have been discontinued in trains departing from Thiruvananthapuram Central Station.

The new decision is due to the complaint that the seats of the reserved passengers are being taken over by the sleeper ticket holders. But in trains coming to Thiruvananthapuram you can get sleeper tickets and board all coaches. In Palakkad division, sleeper ticket issuance has not resumed after covid. Sleeper tickets have been started in Thiruvananthapuram division following the constant requests of passengers.
