Days of Polish Cinema are being held at the Nizami Cinema Center, organized by the Polish Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Association of Polish Cinematographers, Day.Az reports.

At the opening, the Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Rafal Poborski and the President of the Association of Polish Cinematographers Jacek Bromski noted that the project is another cultural bridge between the countries, and the films presented by modern filmmakers will allow Azerbaijani viewers and guests of the capital to get acquainted with new approaches to the country’s film industry, acting and directing works.

At the beginning of the 21st century, the film industry in Poland began to revive, largely thanks to the emergence in 2002 of the Polish Film Institute, whose purpose was to finance film production, help young directors and promote Polish cinema abroad. Now Polish cinema can be proud of many new talented names and fresh masterpieces of the classics.

The films “Solid Gold”, “Bread and Salt”, “Filip” and “Supernova” are presented in Polish with Azerbaijani subtitles.
