jpnn.com – CIKARANG – The DBI Stem Cell Factory in the Jababeka industrial area, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, is officially operational.
This was after Daewoong Biologics Indonesia (DBI), a local subsidiary of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, announced that on September 12, 2024, the stem cell factory had received Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) certification from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM).
Daewoong Pharmaceutical CEO Shawn Park said Daewoong as an innovation partner aims to grow together with the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry in Indonesia.
“We will transfer our cutting-edge stem cell technology to Indonesia and make every effort to improve the quality of life of the Indonesian people,” said Shawn Park at the inauguration of the DBI Stem Cell Factory in the Jababeka industrial area, Cikarang, Thursday (12/9).
Shawn Park explained that this is the first step in a large-scale research and development project with the Indonesian pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
In addition, the company also continues to invest while developing a wide spectrum of business, including botulinum toxin, medical equipment, research and development, social donations, healing space.
“The best research and development for biopharmaceuticals, collaborating with UI and ITB to operate and open a biopharmaceutical research center,” he said.
He explained that with this GMP certification, Daewoong has taken the first step in a large-scale research and development project in collaboration with the Indonesian pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
DBI Stem Cell Factory officially operates after receiving BPOM certification, the first time it has been given to a foreign company.
