The South African cricket team is touring and playing in New Zealand. South Africa lost the first Test by an innings and 276 runs

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test at Christchurch yesterday. Charles Ervey, who played well for the team, scored a century.

In the end the team lost all their wickets for 364 runs. Wagner took 4 wickets for New Zealand. Following this, the New Zealand team started playing the first innings.

Tom Latham, the team’s captain and opener, was out for no runs. He was followed by Will Ng on 3 and Conway on 16. Colin de Granthome scored the only consolation fifty.

At the end of the second day’s play, New Zealand were 157 for five. The 3rd day match started today. At one end the wickets fell but at the other end New Zealand’s Colin de Grantcom played aggressively and scored a century.

In the end New Zealand lost 10 wickets for 293 runs in the first innings. Colin de Grantcombe was unbeaten until the final with 120 runs. This gave South Africa a 71-run lead in the first innings.
