/ Iranian media reported, today, Tuesday, that two police cars were subjected to an armed attack in the southeast of the country, resulting in casualties and injuries, in the second incident of its kind within a week.
The Iranian Tasnim Agency reported that the accident occurred on the “Soran-Mehrestan” road in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
The agency, which described the incident as an “attack by terrorists,” reported that 5 police officers were killed and others were injured.
In a statement, a group calling itself the “Army of Justice” claimed responsibility for the incident, which is the second in a week, as at least three security men, including the deputy head of a police station, were killed in attacks on security centers and headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard in southern Iran last Thursday.
