MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A shooting at a punk rock show in Minneapolis on Friday night has left one man dead and six others injured, prompting a citywide search for two suspects.

The incident took place in a backyard where people had gathered for a punk rock show. According to authorities, two suspects walked up the alley, and gunfire erupted before they fled on foot. Police Chief Brian O’Hara addressed the media during a news conference, stating that one person at the show may have been targeted by a shooter. However, the police have yet to confirm whether there were indeed two shooters involved.

When law enforcement officials arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Additionally, it was later revealed that some wounded individuals had managed to transport themselves to the hospital.

The deceased victim has not yet been identified, while one of the wounded men sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

Eyewitnesses described the chaos that ensued during the shooting. “It’s like normal one second, and then shots fired. And everybody hit the ground,” said Quinn McClurg, who was present at the show. “The next I was – I can’t even conceptualize something like that happening at a punk show. I was making sure all my friends are OK and making sure people are getting the help they needed.”

Minneapolis Police are actively investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the two suspects involved in the shooting.
