The Russian Automobile Dealers Association (RoAD) proposed to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to create a law on the auto business. This follows from the Association’s letter dated December 21 to the Prime Minister’s office. Vedomosti got acquainted with a copy of the document. The sending of the letter was confirmed by the representative of the RoAD.
The current legislation does not directly regulate certain aspects of the relationship between automakers, distributors and dealers, the letter says. Taking into account the possible return of departed foreign companies and the arrival of new players, it is important to legally regulate the relations of industry participants, taking into account negative experience, in order to stabilize the market in the future, the association believes.
