jpnn.com – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (FK Undip) Yan Wisnu Prajoko looked shocked after his practice at the Dr Kariadi Central General Hospital (RSUP) Semarang was suspended.
This oncology specialist admitted that he could not yet decide on a course of action because his clinical activities had been temporarily suspended following the death of his student, Aulia Risma Lestari, who was suspected of being a victim of bullying.
He was temporarily dismissed through a decree signed by the President Director (Dirut) of Dr Kariadi General Hospital Agus Akhmadi on August 28, 2024. However, Yan Wisnu only received it two days later.
“We are still discussing it, we are studying it first, I cannot yet determine the next step, the letter was issued on Friday, August 30 at 11.30 am,” said Yan Wisnu when met, Monday (2/9).
He admitted that he did not know for sure the procedure for his dismissal as the Doctor in Charge of Services (DPJP) at Dr Kariadi General Hospital in the midst of the investigation carried out by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, and the police.
“Regarding my dismissal, perhaps the procedure can be asked to Dr Kariadi General Hospital, but what I can say is that I have been at Dr Kariadi General Hospital for 16 years,” he said.
For the past 16 years, Yan Wisnu claims to have an important role in the Ministry of Health’s vertical hospital. In accordance with his field, he treats cancer patients.
“My role there is twofold, first as a cancer consultant surgeon, every week I treat approximately 300 patients, especially advanced stage cancer patients,” he said.
