Influencer Dean Schneider is becoming a father. Last year, he and his wife had to cope with a tough setback.
“And so the book of life turns to the next chapter.” This is how Dean Schneider begins his Instagram post announcing the joyful news: He and his wife Ely are expecting their first child. In 2023, the couple celebrated their wedding – with the baby, their family happiness is now complete. It’s joyful news – after all, the couple recently had to endure a heavy setback.
Last year, Ely was pregnant, but she lost the child. “It was not a pleasant experience, but it made us, especially Ely, much stronger,” Schneider continues. Therefore, the couple waited longer to announce the happy news this time.
Now the joy is all the greater: “I am overjoyed to become a father of a human, but I am also very curious to see how the animal family will react to this new little thing among us.”
With over eleven million followers on Instagram, Dean Schneider is one of the most successful Swiss influencers. The couple – and soon also their baby – live on the “Hakuna Mipaka” ranch in South Africa. The 31-year-old cares for wildlife in need, giving them a new home in his wildlife reserve. His furry protégés include lions, hyenas, and capuchin monkeys.
