Srinivasan, a youth from Senchi in Villupuram district. The 20-year-old is a second-year diploma student in a private college. Prabhu from the same area is his friend. The 20-year-old was working in a nearby courier service. A couple of days ago the two friends were traveling on Villupuram road on a two-wheeler.
Srinivasan, who was sitting behind, died on the spot when he unexpectedly fell down. Prabhu, who was driving the vehicle, luckily escaped with serious injuries. Bystanders rushed him to the hospital. Prabhu, who tried to commit suicide by slitting his throat, was taken to Puducherry Jipmar Hospital for further treatment.
Prabhu returned home after the treatment and committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near the house after everyone was asleep.
The police rushed to the spot after getting the information and recovered Prabhu’s body and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. The action of the young man who committed suicide without delaying the death of his friend has caused great sadness in the area.
