He is suspected of beating the victim to death. A 22-year-old man was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention on Saturday, after the death of a thirty-year-old at his home, we learned at the Bourges courthouse.
This man suspected of having killed a resident on Thursday in Vierzon (Cher), was indicted “for murder preceded, accompanied or followed by acts of torture and barbarity” and placed in pre-trial detention, in Châteauroux, for the duration of instruction. His lawyer, Aurore Bonnetain, had pleaded for a judicial review. His police custody was extended Friday evening to allow investigators to try to clarify the circumstances of the death. An autopsy of the victim was also to be carried out.
The suspect is suspected of having beaten to death the 30-year-old victim who was found in cardiac arrest on Thursday when emergency services arrived. Despite their intervention, he could not be resuscitated. The suspect declared in police custody that he “tried to resuscitate” the victim and called for help. He later admitted to killing her, but not intentionally. A possible money debt could be at the origin of the facts, according to the first elements of the investigation.
