Italian musician Toto Cutugno died after a long illness in a hospital in Milan. This was reported on Tuesday, August 22, by the Italian news agency ANSA.

Most recently, on July 7, 2023, Salvatore (Toto) Cutugno, the famous Italian pop singer and composer, celebrated his 80th birthday. As a composer, he collaborated with such stars as Adriano Celentano, Joe Dassin, Dalida, Ricchi e Poveri, Mireille Mathieu. His main hit as a performer is the song “l” Italiano, known for the chorus “Lasciatemi cantare”.In 1990, Cutugno won the Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb.
