“Yesterday was the anniversary of Rayan’s drama and today we had a child. God takes back and God gives,” Soumia Khachich told the popular web channel Chouf TV on Thursday, in a maternity hospital in Tetouan (northern Morocco).
On February 1, 2022, Rayan, a 5-year-old boy, accidentally fell to the bottom of a cramped well, 32 m deep, dug near the family residence in the village of Ighrane, in the northern province of Chefchaouen.
He had been extracted five days later without life, despite the relentless efforts of rescuers whose race against time had been followed live by millions of Internet users.
