The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity mourned one of the national figures, Ambassador Ayad Mesbah Al-Tayyari, who passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, after a short illness.
The Ministry explained that “Ambassador Al-Tayyari, may God have mercy on him, has a long career in diplomatic work, full of giving and known for his competence and good conduct.”
She added, “The deceased held many important political and diplomatic positions during his work at the Ministry, where he was Undersecretary of the Ministry, Director of the Department of African Affairs, as well as the Department of Asian Affairs, Advisor to the Permanent Libyan Mission to the League of Arab States, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya in Gambia, Greece, and Nigeria. He played a role.” “Important in Libya’s contribution to the African countries’ transformation of the Organization of African Unity into the African Union.”
The Ministry noted, “The deceased was a seasoned diplomat refined by experience, broad-minded, a speaker and communicator who was good at negotiating and fluent in several languages.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its deepest condolences and sincere feelings of sympathy to the family of the deceased, calling on God Almighty to accept him with His vast mercy and dwell him in His spacious gardens, and to inspire them with beautiful patience and solace.
