Monsoon rains that started in Pakistan last July have intensified now. Heavy rains have been lashing various parts of the country for the past few days. Likewise, glaciers are melting in the Himalayas.
Due to this, flood water has surrounded various cities in the country. Pakistan’s climate change minister has said that 1/3 of the country’s total land area is submerged in water.
In this case, the death toll due to heavy rains and floods in Pakistan has increased to 1,208. 6 thousand 82 people were injured.
3 crore people have been affected across the country due to floods and heavy rains. 10.57 lakh houses have been destroyed/damaged, the management authority has informed the National People’s Congress.
Security forces have been deployed to rescue those trapped by heavy rains and floods.
