Government Advisors Discuss Economic Recovery and Educational Reopening
The first informal meeting of the Advisory Council of the Interim Government was held on Friday (August 9) at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna. The meeting was chaired by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus.
During the meeting, advisors discussed several key issues facing the interim government. These include:
Encouraging businessmen to strengthen the economy.
Opening educational institutions as soon as possible. The government recognizes the importance of creating an environment conducive to learning.
Regulating the market to ensure stability and fairness.
The meeting also addressed the involvement of student representatives in the government. The advisors emphasized the importance of including young voices and empowering them through opportunities to work alongside advisors.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Adviser Nahid Islam briefed reporters on the meeting, highlighting the government’s commitment to nominate experienced and skilled individuals to the advisory panel.
The advisors also discussed plans to:
Create “Assistant Advisor” positions for students to gain valuable experience.
Reform all sectors of the government.
Address financial issues, including the activation of financial sectors and ensuring stability in the market and monetary systems.
When asked about the tenure of the interim government, Advisor Nahid Islam declined to speculate, stating that such discussions are not appropriate at this time.
