The hospitals, developed by Metinvest in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Eastern Military Medical Forces, are constructed from six steel bunkers. They are equipped with ventilation, plumbing, drainage and power supply systems, as well as powerful electronic warfare (EW) protection.
They are also equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment including cardiac monitors and ventilators to NATO Role 2/Echelon 2 standards.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said: “These underground stabilization points are critical to saving the lives of our soldiers. This is the first step in a large-scale project that will strengthen our medical infrastructure and allow us to more effectively support defenders on the front lines.”
Hospitals are equipped with resuscitation and critical care facilities, which are very important during intense combat situations.
Roman Kuzev, acting commander of the Eastern Military Medical Forces, said: “Each facility will be able to treat more than 100 patients every day, which will directly affect our ability to save lives on the battlefield.”

The “Steel Front” initiative, founded by Akhmetov, supports Ukraine’s defense efforts, especially to save the lives of soldiers and help Kyiv’s soldiers fight against the occupiers.
