Declaration of Sustainable Green Construction in Azerbaijan signed.
As reported on Tuesday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, the signing ceremony took place at the round table “Green Construction in Azerbaijan”, held in the framework of preparations for COP29.
The declaration was signed by several members of the COP29 Organizing Committee and heads of several construction companies operating in Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the declaration is to demonstrate that construction companies are aware of their responsibility to reduce emissions. The declaration is the first step in this direction, and then there will be a transition from the stage of awareness of responsibility to practical activities. This unique event will give impetus to cooperation and sustainable development in the construction sector of Azerbaijan, providing a platform for discussing challenges, exploring opportunities and identifying favorable policies.
Let us recall that the Roundtable of Sustainable Green Construction Leaders in Azerbaijan was held in Baku – a special high-level meeting of leading industry leaders in Azerbaijan, including CEOs, ministers, UAE construction companies, the President of COP29 and the UN High Level Leader for COP29.
