Most of the main stock exchanges in Asia are trading with prices falling, at the start of the global trading week. In Tokyo, the Nikkei index falls by 2.4%, the Kospi falls by 2.3% in Seoul, while the Hong Kong stock exchange is now trading in a mixed trend.

Trading in contracts on US stock market indices shows slight declines, following the negative trend recorded last week.

In the global forex market, the upheaval continues as the pound currency drops another 3.4% to a new low against the dollar – 1.05 dollars per pound. Earlier, the pound dropped by about 5% to the level of 1.039 dollars per pound. The euro weakened by about 0.6% to the level of 0.963 dollars per euro.

In the commodity market, crude oil contracts are down 0.5-0.6% and gold is down about 0.6%.

In the crypto arena, Bitcoin falls slightly and trades around $18,880 and Ethereum rises slightly to the level of $1,303.
