Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC’s decision to recover money from the employees who incurred losses by boycotting duty in protest against the re-arrangement of services. The order is to recover Rs 9,49,510 from the salary of 111 employees who have incurred losses in 5 equal installments.
The loss will be recovered from the employees of the three KSRTC depots in Thiruvananthapuram which stopped service on June 26. The action is against the employees of Pappanamkode, Vikas Bhavan, City and Perurkada depots. 49 drivers and 62 conductors will be charged. Apart from this, on 12th July 2021, the loss of Rs 40,277 was also ordered to be equally recovered from the 8 employees due to the non-attendance of duty at the Parassala Depot due to the cancellation of service.
Mountain waterlogging in many places in the northern districts
Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Center has changed the rain warning for the state. Yellow alert has been declared in 10 districts. Rain warning has been issued in the districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Malappuram. Yellow alert has been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Malappuram districts.
Indications that a landslide has occurred in Panom area of Vilangad, Kozhikode
Kozhikode: In the hilly area of Vilangad Panom area, there is an indication that a rock has broken in the forest area. The reason for the suspicion is the sudden rise in the water level in Vilangad river. Shops in Vilangad town have been flooded. Intermittent rain continues in the hilly areas. This is an area where landslides occurred earlier. Strong winds were blowing in this region two weeks ago. There has also been a mountain flood in the Vanimel river.
Karuwarakund area of Malappuram district is also experiencing heavy rain and flash floods. There was mudslide in Kalkund and Keralamkund parts. The flood is overflowing. Kannur also experienced mountain floods. There was a mountain flood at Netumpoil pass. Here the indication is that there was a landslide in the forest. Three people died in a landslide here three weeks ago.
