All parts of the country were affected by the strong wind. The gusts were expected to subside in the evening hours.
The southern autobahn (A2) in the area of the Industriezentrum NÖ-Süd junction was temporarily closed in the morning. According to Resperger, the trailer of a truck was hit by a violent gust of wind and overturned.
The arriving helpers were presented with a spectacular sight, as the rear axle of the towing vehicle was practically floating in the air. The driver was unharmed.
