Lucknow: Deepika Chiklia, the actress who portrayed the iconic role of Sita in the popular television series Ramayana, has been invited to the Ram temple dedication ceremony in Ayodhya. The event is scheduled to take place on January 22 and is expected to be a historic moment for the country.
In an interview with PTI, Deepika expressed her gratitude for the invitation, stating that playing the role of Sita in Ramayana was a divine experience and a great blessing in her life. Deepika, who played Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana 36 years ago, also shared a special Diwali message, urging everyone to celebrate January 24, 2024, as a new Diwali day. She suggested that on that day, people should light lamps in their homes and welcome Ram, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming event in Ayodhya.
It is worth noting that Deepika’s co-star, Arun Govil, who played the role of Rama in the series, has also been invited to the function.
