Defense Minister Galant revealed: Iran is in talks to sell lethal weapons to 50 countries

Defense Minister Yoav Galant gave a speech this morning at the opening of the security conference in Munich, in which he exposed Iran’s efforts to export lethal weapons, despite the embargo imposed on it.

Minister Gallant called on the international community to unite against Iran’s efforts and work to regulate an alternative mechanism to the embargo on surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that is expected to expire at the end of this year.

“Below and above the surface, Iran continuously strives for the destruction of the State of Israel. It does this both directly and through its proxies – the terrorist armies operating near Israel’s borders. Iran threatens Israel and not only it, but also the security and stability of Europe, and the world in general “, said Gallant.

“The negative effects of Iran are spreading more and more, crossing continents and countries. Over the past year, Iran has become a global exporter of lethal weapons and is in talks for its sale with no less than 50 countries around the world.”

Gallant added, “Iran supplies drones, with a range of 1,000 kilometers, to countries in Eastern Europe, such as Belarus, and in the past also did so in South America – Venezuela. The international community must join forces and take urgent and quick steps to stop the arms deals that Iran is leading, and to create an effective deterrent and punishment mechanism.”

“If this is how Iran behaves when it does not have a nuclear capability, imagine a situation in which a nuclear arsenal is held by the murderous Ayatollah regime, this is an intolerable threat to world security. We must use all possible tools – and I emphasize: all possible tools – to prevent Iran from having a nuclear capability.”
