jpnn.comJAKARTA – Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia HE Mr. Faisal Bin Abdullah H. Amodi discussed defense collaboration between the two countries.
This took place during a meeting at the Ministry of Defense Office, Jakarta, Thursday (18/7/2024).
The meeting between officials from both countries, which took place in the Defense Minister’s office, discussed matters of common concern, including a shared vision in the defense sector to strengthen relations and collaboration in the future.
“I appreciate Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance cooperation in the defense industry. I hope the Saudi Ministry of Defense can continue to cooperate with Indonesia, especially in the defense industry and can strengthen relations between the two countries,” said the Minister of Defense.
The meeting discussed the possibility of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense increasing the number of military personnel to take part in joint education, courses and training in Indonesia.
In addition to discussing defense cooperation between the two countries, the Saudi Arabian Ambassador’s arrival was also intended to deliver a letter from the Crown Prince containing an invitation to Defense Minister Prabowo to Saudi Arabia.
Also accompanying Defense Minister Prabowo in the meeting with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador was the Director General of Defense for the Ministry of Defense, Major General TNI Ujang Darwis.(fri/jpnn)
