jpnn.comNABIRE – Chairman of the PAN DPW and also candidate for Deputy Governor of Central Papua, Deinas Geley, acknowledged the great services that have been provided by the Mee tribe in developing Central Papua, especially Puncak Jaya Regency, Puncak Regency and Intan Jaya, which are inhabited by the native Dani tribe.

Deinas said that in the last 50 years, various contributions have been distributed freely by the Mee Tribe to the Dani Tribe.

Starting from the distribution of food supplies between districts, educational knowledge, to providing access to information to the outside world, in order to create economic equality.

“Here I acknowledge the services of elementary, middle and high school teachers from the Mee Tribe to us, the Dani Tribe, are extraordinary and invaluable,” he said in a press release, Friday (5/7).

“That is why we really respect and appreciate the struggle of our friends from the Mee tribe for us,” he continued.

On that basis, Deinas Geley, who has been in the top position as a regional head candidate in the last five months in various polls and surveys, finally agreed to become a deputy gubernatorial candidate to pair up with Meki Nawipa.

Meki is the former Regent of Paniai who is a native son of the Mee Tribe in the simultaneous regional elections on November 24.

Deinas Geley also invited the entire Dani Tribe to unite with the Mee Tribe to win Meki Nawipa with himself as governor and deputy governor of Central Papua for the 2024-2029 period.

The prospective deputy governor of Central Papua acknowledged the Mee Tribe’s great contribution to building education in their region.
