Delegation from São Tomé and Príncipe meets with the Rectory of Unilab

A delegation from São Tomé and Príncipe, with the participation of the president of the Regional Government of Príncipe, Filipe Nascimento, and diplomat Paulo Marques (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), was at the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusofonia (Unilab) with the objective of visiting the institution’s students from São Tomé and Príncipe. On that occasion, on November 21st, the delegation was received at the Rector’s Office by the vice-rector, Cláudia Carioca.

On the occasion, the acting dean of the Pro-Rector of Institutional and International Relations (Prointer), Sabi Bandiri, stated that the delegation’s arrival at Unilab showed great concern for the students, a “commendable attitude”, according to Bandiri. The head of the International Student Selection Coordination, Mareiro Batista, and the coordinator of Human Rights and Affirmative Actions, Geranilde Silva, also participated in the meeting.

There was also a meeting with Santomean students, a milestone, a moment of speaking and listening on both sides. President Filipe Nascimento made himself available and offered to assist in whatever way possible within his institutional limitations, while some student representatives expressed demands from the São Tomé and Príncipe community at Unilab, such as passports, visas and scholarships.
