A SpiceJet flight from Patna Airport in Bihar to New Delhi is scheduled to depart at 12 noon today. The plane began to fly in the sky, and a technical glitch caused a fire on the outside of the plane.
A bird collided with a SpiceJet flight to Delhi and an engine caught fire. Locals were shocked to see the fire on the plane. They immediately informed district and airport officials.
Following this, the flight to Delhi hurriedly returned to Patna Airport. All the passengers on the plane were safely rescued.185 passengers also landed safely.
It has been revealed that the cause of the fire was a technical fault in the aircraft engine. Subsequently, the engineering team is conducting further study, an airport official said.
Due to timely information, the plane made an emergency landing and major plane crash and casualties were avoided.
