New Delhi | CBI makes first arrest in Delhi liquor case Vijay Nair, a Malayali aide of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, has been arrested by the CBI. Vijay Nair is the former CEO of Internet and media events company Only Much Louder.

ED had raided Vijay Nair’s hideouts. Police say that he is the main mastermind of this scam. The FIR also states that Vijay Nair played a key role in framing the liquor policy.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra responded that the arrest of Vijay Nair will bring out the whole truth of the liquor scam. Mishra also claimed that Vijay Nair’s strings extend to Chief Minister Kejriwal.

The Delhi Liquor Policy Scam Case is all about taking bribes to license liquor shops to private individuals illegally. This case is similar to the Bar bribery scandal in Kerala. The case is against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. According to the CBI, the private lobby paid crores of bribes to Sisodia’s cronies to get the licence.
