Sri Lankan Tamil families in danger of deportation from Britain have been granted permission to remain in Britain.

The British Home Office has changed plans to deport a Sri Lankan Tamil man and his family, a leading scientist who is conducting research to get solar energy at an affordable price.

Mukundan and his family have been granted asylum in the face of the risk of deportation due to procedural errors by the British Home Office.

In 2018, Mukundan went to Britain. She works at his geriatric care center.

In this situation, he was tortured in 2019 when he came to Sri Lanka to see his ailing mother. Their career permit came to an end last year following Mukundan’s termination.

Officials who took him from Bristol to a London hotel in September 2021 said their asylum application was under consideration. However, the Home Office said in an e-mail on October 11 that their asylum had been rejected.

Mukundan had filed the petition through his lawyer following strong criticism of the Home Office’s mistakes.

In this situation, the Home Ministry has changed its decision and granted refugee status to the Mukundan family. Mukundan welcomed the decision of the Home Ministry and said that the Home Ministry had saved the lives of my family.
