The Mexican-Cuban singer, Leiden is about to celebrate 10 years of her first album and for that reason she has decided to have a big celebration in Mexico City. It will be on December 5th when she will take over the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris to perform her greatest hits.
“When I released my first self-titled album, with which I celebrate 10 years, I remember that I felt confident in what I was doing, as an independent artist. It is an album that brought me so much satisfaction and made me step forward.
“I think it is beautiful to have done things with music, from a social commitment. It is very important to congratulate ourselves and now being able to celebrate it at the Teatro de la Ciudad is unique,” the singer told 24 HOURS.
And it is that during this decade, Leiden She sees the changes from a sociological perspective, as she has combined her musical and university careers to create songs.

“I am proud that my journey has been congruent with my center and with my questions. Knowing that since I started I speak for my generation that is in constant transformation. Feeling connected with a new identity of Latin American music.
“I have said on many occasions that I do not make music for showbiz. I sing because I feel that the song is a testimony, it can heal and be a voice for identities, movement and try to transform narratives. In addition to studying music, I studied sociology. I have wanted to interweave my two passions,” she shared.
