During the pandemic in Russia – from March 2020 to November 2021 – more than 150,000 people used Delivery Club as a side job, a service representative told Vedomosti.

The figure does not imply a one-time number of couriers delivering food, but the total number of those who have connected to the platform in a year and a half, the company noted. This is the first time the company has revealed the number of couriers that have partnered with the platform.

“This opportunity is used by a wide variety of people: students, those who are not satisfied with their income at the main place of work, those who are in search of it. The coronavirus added to their number those who were looking for a temporary part-time job during the closure of their organizations. For some, delivery became a solution for several weeks, for others – for several months, ”the representative emphasized.

Earlier, the press service of the service informed Vedomosti that on average in the country an active Delivery Club courier with a high rating earned over 63,000 rubles in October. Nationwide, on non-working days from October 30 to November 7, excluding tips, courier income increased by 15% compared to the first week of October.

Delivery Club is one of the largest food delivery services. At the end of three quarters of 2021, revenue exceeded the result of 2020 and amounted to 10.8 billion rubles.
