Delta Air Lines has unveiled a sweeping business-class overhaul, introducing upgraded dining, premium spirits like Blanton’s bourbon, and new Missoni amenities. The refresh begins this fall on transoceanic flights from Los Angeles before expanding globally in early 2027.
Delta Launches Its Biggest Cabin Revamp in Decades
Delta Air Lines is overhauling its flagship Delta One experience in what the Atlanta-based carrier calls its largest investment in the premium cabin in nearly 30 years. The project relies heavily on practical insights gathered from the frontline. A Premium Cabin Design Team comprised of flight attendants has spent over two years working on the redesign, participating in 36 dedicated trial flights to refine service flow and cabin comfort.
They were truly listening to the flight attendants. We are all working … we’re all on board every day.

The multi-phase rollout begins this fall on transoceanic flights departing Los Angeles International Airport, before a wider rollout across the global network in early 2027. Alongside the soft product changes, the airline plans to introduce next-generation suites on incoming Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Commenting on the strategic initiative, Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s chief marketing and product officer, stated that the fully reimagined experience is rooted in solving real customer needs and desires with intentionality behind every detail. Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta senior vice president of brand experience, noted that luxury is about having the experience designed around you.
Financial backing for the continuous product improvements is supported by strong commercial performance. Delta’s third-quarter 2026 results show that premium ticket revenue reached $6.82 billion, narrowly surpassing main-cabin ticket revenue of $6.80 billion, with premium revenue climbing 18% year over year.
Upgraded Menus, Blanton’s Bourbon, and Custom Tableware
Dessert choices include an ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce, Amarena cherries, pecan praline crumble, and a doughnut, alongside a dairy-free sorbet option that can be floated in Champagne Taittinger.

To support this international catering operation—which produces approximately eight million Delta One meals annually across 50 international kitchens using over 700 ingredients—passengers can now make their meal selections up to 18 hours before departure, providing a longer window than previously offered. Mid-flight offerings are also expanding to feature items like a chicken salad croissant, hummus, and crudités.

The beverage program expands significantly with the addition of Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon on December 1, marking Delta as the first airline to carry the 93-proof spirit. This accompanies a revamped wine program developed alongside Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson and a group of SkyMiles members after evaluating more than 1,600 candidate wines to select 13 premium offerings from 11 wineries for service running from October 2026 through September 2027. The wine list highlights Napa favorites, global labels, and an expansion of the Champagne Taittinger partnership, including Silver Oak bottles retailing for more than $200 per bottle.
Before the meal service begins, travelers will experience a newly introduced ‘sip and settle’ moment involving a hot towel, warm nuts, and a preferred beverage delivered on a custom gold-accent console tray. Meals are served on more than 60 new pieces of heritage-inspired tableware featuring the iconic Delta widget logo, accompanied by a fresh pepper mill service and a custom single-serve saucier.
Missoni Amenities and Expanded Porsche Fleet Transfers
To improve rest on long-haul routes, Delta is refreshing its winter offering with new Missoni amenity kits from the Winter Elsewhere collection debuting on November 3. These kits feature Grown Alchemist skincare, Marvis dental products, and a first-of-its-kind wrist strap for use after landing, alongside a Missoni Mini pillow on transoceanic flights.
On the ground, Delta is addressing high demand for its tarmac transfer service by expanding its fleet of hybrid Porsche vehicles from 40 to 70 cars across 15 airports and hubs by 2028. Passengers wishing to utilize this tarmac transfer option must book VIP Select service.
Timeline of the Delta One Rollout
The scheduled enhancements will deploy progressively to ensure cabin crews can adapt to updated procedures.
