Demand for economical use of electricity and fuel in Sri Lanka!

The Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued instructions to all government agencies to use electricity and fuel sparingly.

Secretary to the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ratnasiri told the media today that the instructions were issued at the request of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).

Accordingly, government agencies have been advised to minimize the use of air conditioners (A / C) and unwanted lighting by companies.

In addition, government agencies have been instructed not to use fuel for non-essential trips.

Ratnasiri added that the use of government vehicles to transport officials from the outlying districts to Colombo for discussions and seminars was already restricted.
