Chennai: It has been 20 years since Stunt Silva came to cinema. In this regard, he told the media: It has been 20 years since I came to cinema. It has been 15 years since he started working as a stunt director. So far I have worked as stunt director in more than 250 films in 9 years. I have also acted as a villain in some films.

A few months ago I directed the film ‘Chithiraich Chevvanam’ which was released in OT and starred Pooja Kannan, sister of Sai Pallavi and Samuthirakani. Story discussions are going on to direct another film soon. Just as technology dominates all fields of cinema, so does the stunt field. Now that the fight scenes travel along with the story of the film, the stunt director also has to do the work of the story writer. I have been training and developing many martial artists. A lot of female martial artists have trained with me.

At the last moment they step aside saying that their parents don’t allow it and the marriage is fixed. Women should bravely come forward to work in this sector. Now that many heroines are acting in action films, the need for female martial artists to assist them has increased.
