The parents of CA student Michelle Shaji have filed a complaint with the Chief Minister, demanding justice for their daughter. Michelle’s body was found in Kochi Bay on March 6, 2017, and despite their belief that Michelle was murdered, the local police insisted it was a suicide.

The complaint, which was filed during a Navakerala meeting held at Piravam Mandal, calls for those responsible for Michelle’s mysterious death to be brought to justice. It also demands action against the police officers who reportedly attempted to turn Michelle’s death into a suicide.

According to Michelle’s father, Shaji, the police have been reluctant to investigate the case due to political involvement. Shaji claims that despite filing complaints at multiple police stations, no action was taken to find Michelle when she initially went missing.

The father also alleges that there was an actor’s son involved in the case, and that this has had an impact on the police’s handling of the investigation. Further complicating the matter, Shaji claims that the police have been actively trying to destroy evidence that points to Michelle’s death being a murder.

Dr. B. Umadatta, a forensic surgeon, reportedly found evidence suggesting that Michelle was physically abused before her death. Despite this, the police have refused to accept these findings and are still insisting that her death was a suicide.

Shaji has expressed his hope that justice will eventually be served for his daughter, despite the numerous obstacles and challenges he and his family have faced in their quest for the truth.
