The Organization of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) has called for raising the salary scale of surveyors and similar employees who have passed Diploma-in-Engineering (Surveying) Technology working in various ministries, offices, directorates and organizations to 10th grade. The letter of recommendation has already been delivered to the Ministry of Land and other related ministries.
This information was informed in a press release on Friday.
In the letter signed by Engineer Kazi Sakhawat Hossain, Member Secretary of IDEB Interim Central Convening Committee, the justification for giving 10th grade survey diploma to engineers has been highlighted. The movement is going on for the same demand. If the demands are not implemented, it has been reported that due to the lack of concentration of the surveyors working in the various ministries of the government, the provision of land services at the doorstep of the people along with the development projects of the government will come to a standstill.
It is to be noted that in a press conference at the National Press Club on September 17, the Anti-Discrimination Survey Diploma Engineers Student-Professional Rights Implementation Council announced that if the demand for elimination of discrimination is not implemented by September 30, it will continue to protest from October 1. Earlier, they have given memorandums to the chief advisers and other advisers of the current government and held human chain and rally programs.
