Ousmane Dembelé enforced the “Ex’s Law” in the two clashes against Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the European Champions League. The former Barcelona striker was a key player in PSG’s qualification for the semi-final and was also chosen as the star of the second leg, despite Mbappé’s two goals. In an interview with TNT Sports Brasil, the striker praised the team’s dedication in the group.

“I’m very happy with the classification. Our team did an exceptional job to win this second game. We had a lot of new signings, the arrival of a new coach and this helps to bring a new mentality, which was fundamental for us to reach the semi-final” , said Dembele.

Now, PSG’s attention turns to Borussia Dortmund, their future opponent in the semi-final. With the French Championship practically defined, Paris is completely focused on the obsession with the European title. Even so, Dembelé believes in a complicated game in the fight for a place in the decision.

“Borussia Dortmund will be a very difficult opponent in this semi-final. We will have to work hard to advance to the final”, concluded the striker.

Paris and Dortmund faced each other in the group stage

The semifinal duel marks the reunion between PSG and Borussia Dortmund in this edition of the Champions League. Both teams survived the group of death, which also included Milan and Newcastle. In the first game of the phase, PSG beat Dortmund, 2-0, at Parc des Prince. But, in the last duel of the group, when Dortmund had the chance to eliminate Paris, it ended up being a 1-1 draw.

The reunion between the two teams will take place between April 30th and May 8th, on dates that are yet to be defined by UEFA. The departure will be in Dortmund and the return in Paris.
