After finishing 1-1 in the first game in Germany, Barcelona will host Frankfurt tonight (Thursday, 20:00) for the rematch of the Europa League quarter-finals. It will be a game for an entire season for Xavi in Europe when Barça’s clear goal is to go all the way to the second most important factory on the continent.
Apart from the professional achievement, Barcelona will try to enrich its box office. So incentives are not lacking of course, and what is left is to beat the Germans. The Catalan ‘Sport’ prepared the team for the meeting: “Another test for Xavi and Barcelona, a game after which the season can be lost despite the big comeback. “She overcame the shock and has a great chance to get her hands on a European title this season, despite the failure in the beginning.”
Barça have been without a loss for 15 consecutive games and want to continue to do so. Gerard Pique will pass a fitness test and after that it will be decided whether he will go up to play, with the possibility that Eric Garcia and Kalman Langela will be the brakemen and Ronald Araujo will once again move to the right-back position. Sergino Dest and Memphis are fit to meet.
By the way, the Spanish media say that Barcelona are preparing the paperwork for the new contract deal for the Uruguayan player, who will sign the new agreement in the coming days by 2026, with a release clause of one billion euros.
