Kang Yoo-jung, the Democratic Party’s floor spokesperson, said in a commentary that day, “Contrary to the government’s self-praise that there would be no medical crisis during the Chuseok holiday, it was belatedly reported that a woman in her 30s in Busan died after being refused admission to a higher-level hospital.”
Spokesperson Kang continued, “In Gumi, Gyeongbuk, a woman in her 70s collapsed with a loss of consciousness and went to the emergency room, where she wandered around for four hours but eventually died.” He added, “I would like to express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in an instant after just stamping their feet in the emergency room.”
Kang Won-soo, the floor leader of the party, raised his voice and said, “Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who shouted ‘Who is dying?’ and ‘fake news’ during a question-and-answer session with the government, should kneel before the people and apologize immediately.” He also said, “The vice minister of Health and Welfare should be dismissed as soon as possible. How long do you plan to bow down to the president and mock the people?”
Kang Won-sik, the party’s spokesperson, also said, “We just elected the wrong president, but the people are trembling in a medical crisis they have never experienced before, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He said, “What the people want is the restoration of a normal medical system,” and pointed out, “The entire country is a mess of anxiety, fear, and anger because they are insisting on the 2,000 people without any basis.”
Kang Won-sik, the party’s spokesperson, said, “The only solution lies with the president himself. He must abandon his stubbornness and self-will.” He added, “The dinner meeting with Han Dong-hoon, the party’s representative, must become the blueprint for an exit strategy. Han Dong-hoon, the party’s representative who is all talk, must also demonstrate his negotiating skills.”
